Last week, students and youth activists took part in the first big Fridays For Future climate action since the coronavirus pandemic began. The strikes, scheduled in at least 3,500 locations around the world, emphasized safety and adoption of COVID-19 precautions. Arrests were reported in multiple locations including China, Russia and Uganda. Social media indicates activists in China and Uganda were released.
